One month of live sessions where I teach the DevOps stack, from Linux to Kubernetes, the way it is used at work. 20 people get homework reviews, a final project, and a one on one with me to build their CV. The form is open for 24 hours, on Monday, September 21.

What we cover
One topic per session, with homework after each. The order can shift a little when I publish the schedule, the topics will not.

Linux and networking basics
The shell, processes, permissions, systemd, and logs. Then DNS, TCP/IP, ports, and what actually happens between a browser and your server.

Git and CI/CD pipelines
Branches, pull requests, and merge conflicts, then a pipeline that tests, builds, and deploys on every push.

Docker and containers
Images, layers, and Dockerfiles that stay small and safe. Compose for running a full stack on your laptop.

Pods, deployments, services, config and secrets, and how to find out why something keeps restarting.

AWS core services
IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, and load balancers. How they fit together, and how to avoid a surprise bill.

Providers, state, modules, and reading a plan before you apply it to anything that matters.

The form is open for 24 hours only. Sign in and answer a few short questions, about 3 minutes. It closes Monday, September 21 at 23:59 CEST.

I read every application and pick 20 people. If you are selected, you get an email.

Live sessions
One topic per session, after 17:00 CEST. Homework after each one. The exact schedule is posted in Discord before the first session.

You get a project and 3 days to build it. You can ask questions the whole time.

Review and CV
You present the project to me one on one, we talk through what you built and why, then we build your CV around it.

Who I am picking
Experience level is not the filter. I pick people who will show up and finish.
- You can attend most sessions live, after 17:00 CEST.
- You have at least 5-10 hours a week for homework.
- You have a clear goal, like landing a first DevOps role or moving into one from development, sysadmin, or support work.
- You finish what you start.
What you need
For the cohort. You need these from the first session.
- A laptop that can run Docker. 8 GB of RAM is enough.
- An AWS free tier account. AWS asks for a card when you sign up.
- A Discord account.
Why I am doing this
I posted on X that I was opening a free DevOps academy, and almost 900 people replied that they wanted in. I did not expect that.
Most DevOps courses teach tools one by one and leave you to figure out how they connect. I want to show how the pieces fit together on real work, give you homework that makes you actually do it, and help you turn that into a project and a CV that get you interviews.
Reviewing projects and building CVs properly takes time, so the cohort is 20 people and the live sessions stay with that group. The Discord is open to everyone.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No payment, no trial that turns into a subscription, and no sales pitch during the sessions.
Do I need experience?
No. Experience is not what I select for. A beginner with time and a clear goal is a better fit than someone experienced who can't show up.
When can I apply?
The form opens on Monday, September 21 and closes 24 hours later, at 23:59 CEST. There is no early access and no late window.
What if I am not selected?
The live sessions are for the selected cohort only. You can still join the Discord, ask questions there, and work through the free guides and challenges on the site. The next cohort gets announced there first.
Will the sessions be recorded?
No. Sessions are live only, for the cohort. If you want the content, you need a spot.
What time are the sessions?
After 17:00 CEST (Belgrade time), starting Monday, October 5. The exact schedule is posted in Discord before the first session.
How will I know if I got in?
If you are selected, I email you on Tuesday, September 22 at the address you signed in with. Check your spam folder too.
Can I change my application?
Yes. Open the application page again and edit it any time before Monday, September 21 at 23:59 CEST.
